Dear Athletes,
Congratulations to all competitors who crossed the finish line of the second edition of the adidas Sundown Marathon!
The race was long and grueling, but YOU did it!
Runners of different ages, shapes and sizes participated in the night race as records were broken in several categories; including the signature Ultra-Marathon categories, by male winner Benny Goh and female winner Jeanette Wang. A newly introduced aspect of the event, the Sundown Festival Village, kept supporters entertained with movie-screenings and a lively atmosphere as Sundown runners were racing through the NParks connectors.
Another introduction this year, the Volunteer Cheer Group Contest, brought about more passionate and vocal support for participants as various groups vie for the top recognition!
The race results / timings of the various adidas Sundown Marathon categories are now finalized and available online; along with the results search function, which facilitates comparisons with fellow competitors, boasting rights are definitely at stake. An additional new feature for the Ultra-marathoners and marathoners this year is the retracing of your race footsteps with RunPix! Do check that out and further analyze your race!
Also available are the Sundown Photo Galleries, for competitors to commemorate the second edition of the event and access memories of their personal achievement.
The third edition of the adidas Sundown Marathon will take place on 29 May 2010 and registration will open in December 2009.
