As a pacer, I want to help those runners who wish to hit their target finishing time under my time pace category. I want to motivate them, sharing my experience, both failure and success with them. I want to make them understand that they can do it, its all about mind over body. I want to show them that moment ofachieve, as long as they never, never give up. I will run with them ... from start point...all the way...to finishing line”

“ A pacer is like any other runner aiming to achieve the same target, so why not do it together? Physical strength might be important but in a marathon, what runners need to overcome is often their own mental weakness, especially after they hit the 'wall'. That's where pacers come in to help motivate everyone.”

“ My very first marathon was the Sundown '09 and the pacers(Azhar Azib was one of them) helped me through the pain. In that aspect, it's my way of paying it forward. I think everyone will have their 'Why am I doing this?' moments during the night and if moments during the night and if I can help even a single runner break through that, it will be really awesome! “

“ 6hr finishers are typically not competitive (not for this event anyway), but are here for personal challenges. I love running this pace because it’s a comfortable pace. A well planned 6 hr pace is relaxed, lots of time to interact with other runners and the support crew. You can take your time to rehydrate and even feed yourself along the way. There is enough time to start some active recovery even before you finish the race and feel really good and walk normally, despite having finished a full marathon. I love showing new runners how to do this … basically have fun, enjoy the good company of other runners and still finish a full marathon in a respectable time
Judy Chew

“ I believe every runner have the potential to develop their strength to the fullest. Let us, the Pacers, be the marker throughout the race for you to gauge against. As long as you keep us in sight, you're on pace and you can be sure to complete your marathon in targeted time with a BIG smile.
